Agreed. Not to mention that Spotify Premium is a service that loads of people already subscribe to, not something like Music Unlimited that was an annoying extra payment.
This is a great example of a partnership that's easy to implement, easy to access yet has big simple benefits for everyone involved.
And do so without annualising games like SSB, while focusing on quality software.
But likely great games with enough sales to cover their costs, pay their devs and make a modest return.
Rather than being overhyped, overmarketed, overdeveloped and made to insane spiralling budgets.
EDIT: You make a good point SteamPowered (above and below), just wanted to offer a slightly different point of view.
Agreed. Game soundtracks have reached a point where they actually use high-calibre orchestras and musicians, but sometimes it's nice to stick something on during grind heavy games such as D3UE or Destiny to shake things up.
Yeah, that's the key. People buy Nintendo consoles to play Nintendo games, they just need to keep the flow of smaller/boutique multiplats coming to fill in the gaps.
Ninty exclusives tend to last for ages, too.
I hate to be this guy, but I'm done with resistance. I'd like to see a new shooter franchise do something radical in a new setting TBH.
That said, I'm always game for more KZ.
Yeah, "believe the hype" is the new "halo killer." I.e. something that instantly dooms a game to disappoint.
That said... it's The Witcher 3. I think I do believe the hype?
"Whatever happened to trying out a (finished) game before criticism? "
Erm, this happened literally all the time before the Aliens: Colonial Marines fiasco. Previewers hyped up games and didn't even mention potential problems until the games released. It was a huge deal and it wasn't all that long ago!
And it was a bad thing. Loads of people got burned by buying into gushingly positive press that didn't attempt to call out negative aspec...
Agreed, though no telling how long stock will last! I bet that lots of Amazon UK customers will switch their more expensive pre-orders over especially considering the extra charger and Skull Kid!
Thanks for taking the time to reply, Jdoki. Really detailed and useful feedback, it's much appreciated.
EDIT: Seriously considering buying a PS4 next month in time for Bloodborne and wondering to grab DriveClub beforehand since it's cheap - that's why I'm asking.
I liked Transistor a lot, but for me it never quite grabbed me emotionally the same way Bastion did. Very different games I know, but it kinda felt a bit clinical IMO.
"My big complaint so far is that there's not enough of a connection between the car, track, in-game physics and me. Things like sliding seem more like just playing a sound effect than actually feeling the car start to lose grip."
Hmm. Handling is a big deal for me in racing games - is it that the game feels arcadey/drifty or that the handling feels shonky? I actually like drift-heavy arcade racers, but not if it doesn't feel satisfying to drive.
Erm, videogame deals sites make these articles. Devs and pubs would get found out within minutes if they decided to write their own articles - the internet wouldn't stand for it!
Thanks, great to get feedback from people who've played it and have spent serious time with a title! Will consider it in due course but ideally fancy waiting for the PS+ version.
Come on Ubisoft. A year ago and we were singing your praises (in most respects), just please make sure that you deliver on these promises and we can love you again.
Very promising, seems like the project's on track development philosophy wise. Not pre-ordering though, even as a massive R6 fan.
...no. They're definitely taking Xbox One advertising and holograms seriously though.
Okay, that's a bit harsh I admit. Like what they've promised about DX12 and think the streaming has legs, especially if they can get it working both ways. PC -> XO would make for a truly "all in one" console.
As far as the characters go, it depends on your context, I suppose. As far as Re;Birth 2/MK2 is concerned, the characters you mentioned are relatively quite interesting, and the review is actually complimentary about a couple of them. But for a multiplatform site, the characters have to be compared to other RPGs and JPRGs, including Complile Heart's own Re;Birth 1, Fairy Fencer F and the likes of Tears To Tiara 2, Persona Q etc - at which point they're kinda underwritten IMO.
I still haven't played any of the raids yet. I tend to play Destiny like a social game, logging in for the daily heroic story, strike and earning as many Crucible marks as possible.
I'll get my money's worth at some point, it's just that shorter missions fit better into my schedule.
Either way, I'm mainly looking forward to the new HoW crucible maps.
Oh come on now. I'm still deeply suspicious of The Order 1866 based on what I've played at Gamescom and the inexperience of its developers, but this is too much. No-one has experienced the story yet.
It could still surprise us and I hope it does.
But the point is that you don't really need a Wii U for these games, surely? The Wii U is a second console that's significantly cheaper and offers games that you can't find anywhere else.
Listing games the Wii U doesn't have is a fallacy. You could just as easily list all the Wii U exclusives as a case against owning other consoles, except that you should own a Wii U alongside another console or gaming PC.
